We are delighted to announce the upcoming ‘Karmayogi Talks’ on Wednesday, 21 January at 9:30 AM, at the iGOT Karmayogi platform.  

The episode will feature Dr Krishna Ella, Executive Chairman of Bharat Biotech, on ‘From Research to Resilience: India’s Biotech Journey’ - A reflection on building scientific self-reliance through innovation, scale, and public purpose.

Dr Krishna Ella is a distinguished scientist and entrepreneur, and the Executive Chairman of Bharat Biotech. An alumnus of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, he returned to India with a vision to translate advanced scientific research into affordable, indigenous solutions for public health and agriculture. Widely recognised as the architect of Genome Valley, he has played a pivotal role in building India’s biotechnology ecosystem. A Padma Bhushan awardee (2022), Dr Ella has also served on several Government of India committees, contributing to national policies on science, innovation, and research.

The session will provide valuable insights into India’s biotechnology journey, from frontier research and indigenous innovation to large-scale manufacturing and global health leadership. The discussion will underscore the role of scientific excellence, public–private collaboration, and enabling policy frameworks in strengthening India’s resilience and preparedness in the life sciences sector.
