We are delighted to announce the upcoming ‘Karmayogi Talks’ on Wednesday, 14 January at 9:30 AM, at the iGOT Karmayogi platform.  

The episode will feature Shri Mihir Kumar, Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS) and Chief Executive Officer of the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), on ‘GeM and the Transformation of Public Procurement in India’ - Driving transparency, efficiency, and digital reform in government procurement.

Shri Mihir Kumar is a distinguished officer of the Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS) with over 28 years of experience in finance, public administration, and policy implementation. Prior to his appointment as CEO, GeM, he served as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs and has held key leadership positions across the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Finance. An alumnus of the University of Delhi, he holds academic qualifications in Economics, Law, and Management, and has undergone executive training at leading national and international institutions.

This session will offer valuable insights into how the Government e-Marketplace is transforming public procurement by enhancing transparency, efficiency, inclusivity, and ease of doing business. The discussion will also highlight GeM’s role in promoting MSMEs, fostering competition, and advancing digital governance reforms in India.
